In a lot of towns across the country this week, it’s not quite warm and it’s not quite cold. But don’t let that stop you from some at-home outdoor dining.

Homeowners with an itch for fresh air can use outdoor heating products to make any season, “Outdoor Season”.

Ranging in price from $300 to $1,500, outdoor heaters provide warmth to the body against the chill of the day’s air.

Here are a few other outdoor heater tips:

1. “Tall” heaters cover about 15 feet in all directions. If your outdoor area has a radius larger than 15 feet, you should consider multiple heaters.
2. Check for a “tilt” safety feature before buying. If your heater falls, the tilt switch will shut down the gas to prevent fires.
3. Many heaters have open flames. Be sure to leave enough clearance between your heaters and other objects.

Remember, though: the heaters heat people and not the air. You have to stay close for the outdoor heater to work.
